Big snap ring tool

This is a tool for taking off really big external or internal retaining rings, 3.5" to 7" . Bought it at an auction of a guy that worked on heavy equipment but appears to never have been used. Made by HI TECH model 87 in USA.

That's why the tips are typically angled out, it provides more of a "bite" in the retaining ring holes.

It's also why I put my gloved hand (or foot, depending on the size) on the retaining ring before removing the tool.
