big socket.. Help me!!!

Okey doke Boys....

I found a socket, a big one... I can't figure out the maker.. (if it doesn't say S-O. Craftsman or whatever... I have no idea)...

Anyway .. it's a 6 point 1 inch drive impact socket.. with CR-V 1 7/8 imprinted on the side.

Do yall' know the maker? Or the value? It's new, looks like it was never used..

If it has CR-V on it, its Chinese made. I've seen lots of sockets like that, smaller, 3/4 drive usually. CR-V stands for Chrome Vanadium, a type of steel alloy that is strong. The abbreviation is found 99% of the time on Asia made tools, almost never on US stuff, sometimes older US stuff simply says "Vanadium" however.

At my flea market it will bring $3 or $4 max. The 1" drive makes it very undesirable, as few people have a way of driving it.

All the others that I have are Wright... They are 1 inch drive, I'm listing them at 25 & up.. Does that seem reasonable?

Real hard to say. If you find the right buyer, great. You cannot go up on the price, but you can always go down if someone expresses an interest. For someone needing 1" drive large stuff, it might be OK, I think its a little high however.....

I kind of thought, maybe I was listing high.. Even though others are way more expensive, that I've seen..
What do you think a good starting price would be?

Hmmm.. I've been chucking all the sockets & tools that say China & Taiwan...
I've kept (to sell) all USA made.. & I've kept the Japan made ones..

What should I do with 100+ Taiwan pieces? Any ideas?
In my tool box(es).. I only keep USA & German tools..

However, my tools are "the cool" not working tools...
I just let a friend use some pliers & I insisted he use gloves so he wouldn't get them dirty.. Of course he looked at me like I was a nut.. Ha!!!!

The newer taiwan stuff are good, the ones form 15 years ago, are not as good, the ones from 20 years ago is like the chinese stuff. So it is hard to price them.

Really? I'm kinda silly about it... I try to stick with anything, not just tools, made in USA... Just the way , I was raised , I guess...
