Hello! I've been looking for a complete set of sockets, like the Cman 308 piece. I have sockets but I want to finish it off (12 point everything and 6 point everything). Well the Cman set fits the bill perfectly, however; I don't really want chinese cman junk exactly.... Wondering what options I have? Does SK make a set similar, if so is there a part number I could look up? Even Kobalt I feel might be better quality, based on the reviews of what I have read on that Cman set. I want some decent quality, but not snap on price haha. Thank you!

My 2¢, is get the SK 40 some piece set in each size. 1/4" in 6 and 3/8" and 1/2" in 12 point. Then Sunnex 3/8 and 1/2" master impact sets. Why sunnex? Awesome impact sockets that are tough and thin wall. Also their master sets give you the best range in sizes. This should give the best of both 6 and 12 pt.

Unless you run into 12 pt fasteners that small, I wouldn't bother. I get by in that department with SO low profile 1/4 set since the kit comes in 12 point. Only application I ever ran into was 90's ford truck speed sensors that used that small of 12 point.

Main reason I bulked up my 12 point was when I was Deere tech, Deere loves 12 point bolts on their engines. Now I don't poo poo 12 point like some guys since it works fine, but if you don't run into a lot of 12 or 4 point bolts, additional sets of 12 point becomes a little redundant. Personally, I like chrome 12 and impact 6. To me that gives me full covage without directly repeating tools.

Yeah, I kinda like have duplicates of tools in one way shape or form, especially because most of my stuff isn't top notch, I like to have a back up.
