i was looking for a stapler
i could use to fasten automotive package tray strength cardboard sheets.

the stapler needs to be able to reach into a deep cavity
so i can make a glove box insert
for a old car
where the stock insert was missing.

a replacement insert wont fit
because the car has a/c kit and fan motor and other stuff.

basically i am trying to avoid this post from becoming a help building the insert.

not concerned with doing it another way

i just need to locate the stapler source
so i can buy the tool.

How long does the throat need to be? Most of what I see now have only slightly longer throats than a standard desk stapler, just with a longer handle. For example, see the Stanley/Bostitch BOS00540. You might try googling a box stapler, but I think the staples are way bigger than you want for your application.

Check with an office supply, preferably local. They sell some heavy duty staplers that use those heavy staples, I've gone thru up to about an inch thick pile of copying paper, not sure of the reach but you can fold cardboard up and start in the back and work forward.

Go to a local printing shop most of them have the kind of stapler you need, they might even staple it for free

i understand how to make the item.
i simply need a source for the far reach stapler.
the goal here is 2 fold.
avoid any assistance with building the item. which makes the tool thread go off topic
and makes the thread unnecessarily big
and only to locate a source for the far reach stapler
not looking to do anything at a shop for free
just looking for source who sells far reach stapler

I would say try this. If they say you don't owe them anything just leave the person doing it a few dollars for there time. (To be nice and show application. Then you can say it wasn't for "free" because you don't want "free")

Sorry for giving you advice I would follow myself (and I buy more tools than most)

Oh yeah I will refrain from answering any more of your questions.

You know your response ticked me off, I try and give you a bit of advice, maybe you should quit asking questions here and just use google so you don't have to interact with other humans.

I know exactly what you are trying to do.

I know just the right tool to accomplish it.

I know where to get it and what it costs.

It is readily available and may be available near you.....if you had put your location in your profile.

And if you had been more polite with the members here.

Want to try this again?

You might could use a saddle stapler but that is a light weight staple like office staplers use. Combine that with some commercial grade hot glue and you would be in business.
