Since I already bring bondhus hex wrenches with me to the bike clinic I decided to contact them about getting sets for the clinic directly. They were generous and sent two sets of the two styles we use. Just wanted to lift them up for this and remind people to support a good tool company.

That's cool . Always try to support a good company that helps back. A bike clinic?
I convinced the local council of churches to form a bicycle clinic. Its in a small, rural town with a high poverty rate, a large migrant community and the county has the second highest rate of obesity in the state. The nearest bike shop is 30+ miles away and even the nearest Walmart with bicycles is 18 miles. So we fix up old bikes and give them away to anyone who needs them. Last year we got off to a late start and gave out 24, this year we're hoping for 40 and have already given out 14 with 6 kids bikes ready to go.

I have quite a few Bondhus products. I have a set of their SAE, metric, and Torx T-handles. I have the SAE, Metric, Torx, Gorilla Grip folding tool sets. At work I have a set of their SAE, and metric L wrenches. I love them all. The quality, durability, and fit is all impressive. Made in the USA makes it even sweeter.

I found a screwdriver bit set of theirs on ebay and liked the quality and the price, so now I've been looking to replace my pittsburgh hex set with theirs. I just wish they sold a kit that contained the 15pc metric + a different color of the 13pc SAE. I know they have the red and yellow cases, but I think it would be convenient to know your SAE is the red, gold, etc. set and the metric is the black oxide set. Gets kind of expensive separately.

Also, you might have some luck checking surplus auctions in your area. Texas A&M here auctions off a dozen to a hundred bikes about twice a month. If you contact universities they might be able to give you some or sell you them cheap. I just got a 2001 specialized for $45 that just needs rear rim straightened or replaced (I won the auction, but my sister who lives near the university has the bike in storage lol)

Just bought an 8pc folding torx set of theirs, and have offers in for a hex set from them.

Will have to check that. The local PD and the sheriff's dept are willing to send bikes but they don't get a lot.

Bondhus makes great stuff. Elkins also makes great stuff. But most importantly, I think that's a great thing you're doing.
