I'm going to guess 4 1/2 Reed

Not worth $120....especially with that lazy paint job.

Edit- looks like its a 203 1/2.....making it a 3 1/2 Jaw

Looks to be a 6". Prentiss? Columbian? Reed? I can't tell. Seems to be in pretty good shape (even with the spray can topcoat)! Not a bad price.

Isn't it astounding that CL seller says the VICE (ha, ha, ha) is heavy duty, but doesn't even list any measurement of jaw width ??##%^&!!

How about putting a Coke can next to vise to provide perspective??

If indeed it's a 6" . . . then it might be worth removing all that red paint that the ***** painted it with !!

OP if this is local to you in Santa Rosa, CA, go check it out and give an update to GJ. How can the CL seller possibly be "firm" on price, when don't even have a clue on what he's got ??!!?

My guess is 4" vise. LOL . .

MY aunt lives in santa rosa and i'm not even going to bother calling her about it. Its priced too high for what it is. I bought a Reed 214 not to long ago for 30.00, their price seems a bit high:headscrat

After closer inspection, it's definitely a Reed and could possibly be a 4".....hard to tell. It looks alot like my Reed 6". I'm gonna call after church today and find out for sure. I'll report back this afternoon. If it is a 6" I still say it's a decent deal based on $1 per pound rule, the fact that the tops of the jaws don't have a ton of hammer marks, it's complete (including the swivel base), the handle is straight and there's no discernable cracks (although that may be the reason for the thick red paint)!

If it turns out to be a 4"...........disregard my post entirely!

Good luck! Sometimes you get lucky despite the average CL poster's attempts to hide what they are selling with bad pics, non-existent meaningless descriptions, and crude paint jobs...

If it functions good, no cracks, repairs, etc, then I don't think $120 is really out of line IF it's a 4". Still a swivel base Reed and a ton better than you can buy for the same money new anywhere. If it's a 6" it's a steal...jmho of course based on Phoenix prices...

plus it's got custom paint:lol_hitti
