Big wrenches

I want a complete set of US made wrenches from 1 5/8" to 2". I bought 2 Wright 1 7/16 and 1 13/16 new for 50% off at a fastenal surplus store. I was thinking of slowly piecing wright 1 5/16 to 2 because I like the design of the big Wrights. 1 5/16 to 1 1/2 would be reduned since I already have SK that size. Then this week the Cornwell guy came around with some nos SK he picked up cheap. $10 a piece 1 13/16 and 1 7/8 SK. Both SK and Wright are nice, but I think I will get rid of one set to fund building the other. Any opinions?

Unless you are picky about having a complete set of the same brand, I would keep the ones you have and fill out the ones you need. My entire box is mostly old S-K and Craftsman, but only because that is what was in a craigslist box I bought and my local pawn shop has. I rarely buy new tools if I can find them used first.

Keep an eye on CL. Alot of times guys who work on big rigs or farm equipment dump their big stuff. Got these on CL for $15. They're HF specials but I'll probably use them twice (if that) in my lifetime, so they'll get the job done!

some of the nicest wrenches that size that i've used have been Proto. the guy that had them purchased them for $5 a piece a garage sale. 1-5/16'', 1-1/2'', 1-5/8'', 1-3/4'', 1-7/8'', and 2''.
