I think sears carries a 5 piece set with sizes from 1-1 1/2" in store, but for individual sockets that large you have to go online.

I have Snap On, MAC, and SK sockets that are 1-1/4, 1-5/16 and 1-1/2" Shallow and deep. Anything bigger than that I go to 3/4 drive. My 3/4 drive set goes start at 7/8"-4"

Go to cripe distributing--cheapest online place to pickup USA made individual sockets by various manufacturers! They also have individual gearwrench sockets.

Lots of stuff, web site ***** for finding anything, nothing is classified consistenly. You have to load up all 2000 or so tools and simply wade thru them to find anything. Not all of the sets are in sets, not all of the loose sockets are in loose sockets, etc.

Kobalt USA made, ½" drive, 1½" 12 pt from Cripe.

Ouch! All of a sudden I don't feel bad at all giving $8 or so a socket for craftsman

Thanks for the other suggestions guys

LOL yeah the Craftsman seem like a steal at that price. I wouldn't buy from Grainger, just used their site to show the different choices you would have for larger than 1-1/4" since you really didn't specify 6pt/12pt short/deep.

There is a local hardware store that I will buy loose ones from. They are about 1/2 price of Grainger. My father has complete sets of Proto from 1980s, back then you could get them in some of the local mom and pop auto stores and when that dried up we found this last hold out hardware store. Recently may father gave me some of his duplicates because I kept borrowing his bigger than 1" stuff to work on old flat head Ford stuff. As soon as I catch up on bills I am going to start buying the lg metrics in my list in my signature from them. I have bought some used SAE ones from a fellow GJer, and am not apposed to buying used.

They skip everything between 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". No 1-5/16", 1-3/8" or 1-7/16".
Their metric set is the same its goes 32mm them 36mm. No 34mm or 35mm
