It doesn't take much HP to keep that 230v torque monster spinning. I bet this would out-perform any modern grinder with 3x the hp ...

Please explain. I'm ignorant on electrical but really want to figure it out.

ALL: isn't the HP on today's grinders figured on a different #? something about starting speed versus optimum running speed so the new ones could up their #'s? I know i've had some 1/4 and even 1/5th HP grinders that would run all day and out perform any of the new chinese 1/2 HP ones.
