Did this a while back....
When I first got my 550 was all jacked up about building a fresh engine.
Don't like assembling engines on the bench so made this so I could use my engine stand;
The main plate is a piece of 11 ga. I had broke for a project that was a non-starter.
The tabs are A+A. I keep some of their misc tabs in my box at all times.
The electric starter is on the bottom so it needed to be able to tilt like this.
The hole's for the bolt that holds in a spring-loaded shifter detent. Sure looked like a drain plug first time I changed oil.
Obviously this style will only work for an engine that the cases split horizontally.
As it turns out GT Suzuki's are dead-nuts reliable so I've never gotten around to building a fresh engine, but have a stand if I ever do.
