Years ago I had a link that gave the BINN numbers for all the atmospheric reporting stations across the country. The information is run by the NOAA. I have looked and looked, but in computer searching, as well as assorted other things, I'm kind of a nitwit. So, would some of you engineering wizards please look and see if you can find this information?

The BINN numbers are a 25 yr tally of hourly weather statistics in 5* increments. They would be useful to all of us who participate in H/C discussions. There are many stations in most states, so you won't have to extrapolate much. Should be good discussion points too. TIA for your assistance on this!

I couldn't find exactly what you're talking about, but you might start here:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web/

They seem to have multiple methods of retrieve historical weather data.

I'll keep looking and update if I find anything....

ASHRAE publishes a bunch of it, but I can't find any 'free' versions. Mainly, I pay more attention to the 0.4% and 2% extremes, but they also provide Heating/Cooling Degree Days data, which gives a solid order of magnitude difference between locations.
