And sears will release a statement saying "we deny these claims and will vigerously defend these allegations"!

Take a look at this weeks Sears Hardware sales flyer, they have the Bionic wrench on sale a page or two in and on the back page they have the Craftsman rip off version for a few bucks less.

Well this might get the word out that Craftsman tools are no longer made here. Probably won't do any good though, just one more nail in the coffin for Sears...

I'm glad Logger head tools are made here, but honestly, those look more uesless then a robo grip or dog bone wrench.

I own a pair, they are absolutely horrible. I do alot of oil changes at work (I'm a tire tech) and got a pair of these thinking it'd be sort of my "universal drain plug tool" but it slipped and rounded the outter edges of 2 out of 2 drain plugs I used it on, now theyre just collecting dust. Absolutely horrible!

Yeah, it's a joke. Only a fool would buy it as some unwanted Christmas present for someone they just had to get some gift for. Think of all the decent tools that people have invented that never made it or they got screwed on. I feel no sorrow for this guy and this "tool".

Anyway, someone will see them in Sears and think it's a cool thing to give a guy that loves tools and working on things, so you'll get one sooner or later - If you do, trust me on this one, tell them "thanks for this really cool wrench" and drop it off at the donation center on the way home...

Shopped at Sears today for a Craftsman polished 3/8 offset ratchet for my son in law's birthday. Saw the Sears new asian copy tool of a small innovative USA mfg and the latest Craftsman staple mechanics USA Armstrong mfg 1/4, 3/8,1/2 ratchet handle tools . Transitioning to asian mfg with less real quality finish /forgings and costs. I thought we were encouraging our economy? Told the clueless sales helper guys at store I am less of a Sears Craftsman customer now..The new wrench has poorer ergonomics, is bulkier and appears to be too big in smallest side to fit 1/4 -20 hex head. The USA tool is more compact with better feel for my smaller hands. btw- I worked on several Sears best power tools and other products years back and familiar with there business model. The new product patent IP is unique work around but not a real improvement.

IMO Kobalt makes better tools than craftsman. their flex ratchets are much nicer than craftsman.
No way would I go to Sears over Lowes to buy a tool made in China.

By the way, the north Atlanta stores are marketing both side by side. Compared side by side..for me the USA innovation version is noticeably better. The jaws mate up precisely and will mate to 7/16" flats of 1/4-20 hex heads. They work best for wider flat spaces or spaces where the head of the tool will clear the bolted assembly. USA version costs is competitive in my book.

As far as Sears goes...If you like craftsman hand tools- and prefer USA- time is now. I'm shopping for a few Armstrong and SO 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets and sockets on this site. Giving my son inlaw one of my better ratchet wrenches.
