Bit driver handles with spinner caps

A coworker is dedicated to using a bit driver handle with spinner cap. His workhorse is starting to wear out, so I tried to get him a replacement from McMaster, but the new one has an aluminum shaft. Does anyone recognize his old one and know who may have made it?

Magna seems to be the OE for these, I have an S-K branded version I like. Kind of harder to find a source for besides ebay when I was looking a few years ago.

How is it wearing out? Bit retention? It looks like its in good shape in the picture, thats why I’m curious.
