Bit Holders: ¼” drive bits, looking for holders

I have way too many little ¼” bits. From sets of nut drivers to the universal #2 phillips, flats, torx….etc. Currently, I have them in several drawers of a Stack-On multi drawer unit. I’d like to get some bit holders and organize them for easier grab and go action. Does anyone know of a source for just bit holders? Rubber, plastic, metal it can all work. My google-fu is failing me and I cannot find them. Similar to the picture below, but I'd prefer just a single line or holes.

Now if I had a drill press I might just take 1/2" thick pieces of oak and drill my own, but only having a cordless hand drill, I don't have the confidenc that I could drill all the holes nice and straight and to an equal depth.

Go to the local gun range and get ammo trays for 9 mm or 25 cal. and use them. You can find them in the trash

The strips on the wall is a good idea. This is an endless battle and getting worse with multiple size torx bits. I have hung on by sourcing square drives from Menards. I took one of the belt clips off a drill I try to keep as my maint unit so it holds 4 bits and some kind of rubber band holder for the drill itself to stash a nut driver and some drills a couple extra bits would be really handy,,, in fact like the socket organizer I am going to work on it as its such a problem.

The ammo case is a good idea and I drilled up some blocks just fine but the bits never seem to find way back. The easiest thing I have found is simply a couple 3 tuna fish cans, throw specialty rare ones in one and a couple drives you use in the rest, nut drivers in a 3rd. Put the specials and the rest of the set out of the way and have multiples of the commons in cans.

I have another bin for deck screws. I bite the bullet and the extra cost and don't use drywall screws. Its another layer of extra stock to save a few cents, don't have weather concerns etc.

The first pic is the newest. The electric connector case landed there and should be moved. It is a step or 2 more out of the way than it could be but life isn't perfect.

I got this rickety deal and a guy passes right by the deck screw bench. I use this stuff a lot, some of the pics are old and this is so vital it evolves and still needs a little work. Its a little like welding here, a few screws here and there,,, often. I make hundreds of welds only use a little wire. When you need it you need it, handy is everything.

I have taken to using only Wera Impaktor bits. They last forever with proper use and have never had one break on me. The Phillips/Robertson #2/3 & torx wear so slowly, if you prevent cam out. I have the Wera bitcheck and tool check sets and swear by them.

The imperial version of the toolcheck along with the Impaktor have lasted almost two tears of daily use in 12/18v impact. It really is insane the quality.

The 9mm round holder is a great idea!
