Looking for a nice bit set for my drill/impact. I love my Wera Lasergrip screwdrivers and would love something that I can use with a drill. This set on Amazon looks nice, but wanted to check on here to see if there may be something better for the money. Also heard good things about the Makita XPS set and Milwaukee Shockwave sets.

Meh, unless you are dropping big bucks on Wera or PBswiss they are all about the same.

Either spend $, build kit for specific duties, or grab your favorite color and be done with it.

Yea, for the money I think I will just go Makita or Milwaukee. PB Swiss is too expensive.

Agreed with the above posts, they are consumable items. I've always had good luck with Milwaukee and Dewalt branded bit sets.

Same. Not too expensive, easily available everywhere, and their branded consumables are almost always noticeably better than the generic stuff.

Makita and Bosch stuff is also usually fairly good.

This is one area where Home Depot outplays the other box stores; they have all the above on the shelf, and there's usually a sale.

Once you give yourself permission to throw out and replace worn bits and screwdrivers, life gets a lot more pleasant.

That said, as noted above the PB Swiss and Wera stuff (and Wiha) is extremely nice and very durable if you don't mind dropping the long green and ordering.

When you say Bits, in the same post as an electric drill, are you writing about Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits? Screwdriver bits are a consumable and I tend to buy DeWalt bits because of their decent quality and reasonable price point.

When I rarely have to buy a Drill Bit I find myself, for unknown reasons, leaning toward Chicago Latrobe,

zephyr, apex, wera, and vega all serve me very well. Only use the vega for longer power bits. The others for 1'' insert bits.
Magna bits from Brownels are awesome, lifetime warranty. Made for them by Zephyr
