Used to have a Christen grinder at the old shop. Amazing machine. You can pretty much make any style of drill grind on that unit. Had a great manual that explained step by step what to do for each type of grind. Was complicated to setup with lots of adjustments, so that manual was very important as reference in setup.

At home I use an SRD drill grinder. A very old one, but really does a nice job on standard drill points. Fast, easy setup and a nice even grind if you do it right. Easy to learn and get a good feel for. Great for spot drills.
Mine is older than this one, but similar.

I had a Drill Doctor and gave it away. The person I gave it to gave it away too... Was not super impressed with it.

Dad and Uncle taught me how to off-hand sharpen on a grinder. It takes practice, but it is a great skill to develop.

I bought a General Hardware drill bit sharpener in 1970 something and it worked well until the grinder stand it was mounted on was knocked over and it was broken.

I have since acquired a lot of drill bits and have not learned how to resharpen them by free hand grinding.

good friend who sharpened thousands of drills a week for the aerospace industry taught me how to hand sharpen a drill with a grinder and good wheel. Not all that hard once the basics are learned. Having a gauge to verify one is getting the correct angles helps.

Buy a gauge and practice.

Once you get the hang of it it’s easy.
