I couldn't find anything I liked so I made this.

It's a piece of Azek (PVC product used for decking and exterior trim, excellent product) that I cut to size, layed out the spacing and then drilled the holes. I found a piece of aluminum rod on my workbench for the handle and cut 2 small spacers from a chrome water supply line. I couldn't figure how to get the Wera bit ratchet to stay put, so I dug around some drawers and took the top lid from an Ipod Nano and epoxied and screwed it down.

Looks good. I hope its magnetized.

Isn't all PVC material magnetized? No, it's all friction fit. Pretty tight for now. I guess if it becomes an issue I can epoxy a few recessed magnets on the bottom.

Dammit! Now that you mention it, I could have mounted the bit ratchet that way. I have a 4'x8' sheet of the Azek and about 2 dozen pieces of the aluminum rod (used to be a rope ladder), so I can make another or 10.

Went to Wally world they have plastic/pvc 12X12 pegboard, went to the craft dept bought dime size magnets glued w/ super glue, I keep all extra 1/4 in sockets on them and the magnets are strong enough to hold the small sockets, similar to holding bits but without drilling holes

I made it to fit in a certain area in the drawer. Here's a pic installed.

I posted a few days ago about a sliding drawer to put in my deep socket drawer. I had a piece of galvanized sheet metal laying around and felt ambitious, so I layed it out and made a box. It's about 1" deep and works great. Now I have my ratchets with my sockets, freed up a drawer, and the access is just as good as it was before.

Now I need to make a visit to walmart for more drawer liner.
