I’ve been looking for a Stanley unishear for a while. But I came across this. I’m not familiar with them. Does anybody know much about them or if parts etc. are able to be gotten. ? Value? I will try to attach a couple pictures.
It’s an old aluminum case black and decker 507. It also says number 12 which I suspect might even be up to 12 gauge although that sounds thick. I’m more used to these things going up to 16 gauge.
TIA
Peter

I had a model 16 for a few years. Nice tool. I lost the lower blade and had to try and make a different one work because I was not able to find a direct replacement. It was functional afterward, but not absolutely perfect. My fault, not the tool.

The blades can be resharpened and are adjustable. Make sure to leave a small gap so as not to bind the blades.

Outside of replacing a cord or brushes, I don't imagine it will fail on you, as long as you keep it within the max gage limit. These were made for industry and they are Really Built well.

Maybe open the front case and check/replace the grease. It might be pretty dry by now.

MIne sliced 16ga with almost no effort originally.

I sold the model 16 and another (might have been a unishear?) each for around $75-$100 several years ago.

If you are thinking of buying it, and it is complete/functional, go for it. It is a very nice tool.
I only sold mine because I got a much newer Bosch for almost nothing that had the same capacity as the model 16.
