Black and Decker vintage Model 70 Circular Saw Guard Spring?

Hi,
Looking for info on this old saw.

Works fine but missing blade guard spring.

Not even sure what type it takes or if one is even available.

Here is a pic of the saw.

nice looking old saw. guessing a radial spring, may be there just broken ?

If you can't find it you can adapt something from some of these assortments. You can un-bend, shorten to make them work - it's the GJ way.

measure the ID & OD of the spring . again, I wonder if it's in there, just a tab broke off?

Last one I had apart had a long skinny spring with loops on each end, ran in a groove. Measure the groove, see what fits. With rather gusrd closed, the spring might still be slightly extended, might not.

Well, think I found one?

For $13 shipped I'll try it.

I can see that the saw takes a rotary type spring instead of the coil type.

There is cut outs or grooves in the body and gaurd where the spring goes.

The dia. of this spring looks right anyway and is suppose to fit B&D Circular Saws?

We shall see?

If anyone has one of these Saws and could post some pics of the OEM Spring that would be helpful!!!
