Seven or 8 years ago I spotted a B&D 18v 2-speed cordless drill on the endcap at Lowe's for $20 and I snagged it. It included one battery and a charger built into a cheap AM/FM radio. I'm not sure what the regular price on it was.

I've bought several new batteries and a new charger for it. The 18v batteries are $39 a pop.

Walmart has the single-speed version of the drill with two battery packs for $49.95 right now, including a cheap charger and nylon zip-up case. I'd have paid that much for a two-pack of the battery packs, but now I've got a spare drill. Not pro-grade stuff by any means, but good for around-the-house use.

I will double check but I think I have seen 20v Matrix and non Matrix Black and Decker drills also on sale at Walmart around me for a few dollars more. Not sure if it's regional to the Philly area. They only come with one battery but the upside is you can use the same battery (with some quick modification) in Porter Cable 20v max tools as well as Stanley Fatmax 20v hammer drills.
