Pulled out my Workmate today for a project. First time I’ve used it in at least 10 years. It’s gotten a little worn & banged up but it’s a great help. I need to make new top boards or buy some if available. Same with clamp inserts. I’d like to buy a few of those.

I replaced the tops on mine twice before the frame finally got too worn. Second replacement was one piece of 3/4 ply slightly larger than the open width of the two jaws. I didnt use the jaw feature, i preferred a larger rigid top.

The main Workmate thread is here.

I just got a bag of parts from ereplacementparts which included 4 larger than original dog inserts, for a cheap single level workmate. Not sure if they are available solo.

Rockler also sells the dogs, but they don’t clip in as well
