I know Stuey posted a blog entry on Lowes' upcoming specials. Any others getting disclosed soon? I need more tools like I need high cholesterol but oftentimes I find I can't resist when they put those promos out there. I know Harry Epstein has some sweet deals on those Vaughn hammers they just got in and I need some of those so I can hit myself a little harder on the noggin, too.

It looks like many leaks are being contained a bit better this year, but there should be more in coming weeks. Ace Hardware's came out but then they threatened legal action against everyone that tried to post it.

Holiday tool specials are now on display at Lowes, Home Depot, and Sears. Some of the deals are great (Dewalt ratcheting T handle set for $20 compared to $35, Leatherman Wingman for $25 instead of $30-35), but there's also a lot of junky dirt-cheap import tools.

Is there anything in particular that you're potentially looking to buy? Many retailers are turning more towards selling many small cheap tools rather than enticing shoppers with larger power tool deals.

I anticipate there being a few $$-off and %-off deals on Amazon, most likely off of Bosch or Dewalt tools, as was the case last year.

Harbor Freight's is out, but from what I saw their deals are nothing new.

Really hoping for a Dremel 8000 deal from Amazon, or maybe a stylus one locally, or a 4000?

Gunna get myself one and hopefully somebody will get me some attachments for it for Christmas! :bounce: (mmm a flexshaft)

Really trying to wait until I find a deal, Ace has a deal on one for $45 I believe for Black Friday, but it's currently $53 on Amazon, and not the best for a hobbyist.

I miss the Craftsman 1/4" sets for 9.99. I'd break um up and get 20.00+ each. I'd get 40-50 sets! They don't have them anymore.

What are you talking about?:headscrat
Sears had the 1/4 and 3/8 drive sets on sale for $9.99 in October as part of Craftsman Club days.:wtf:

You can probably count on the socket sets and wrench being on sale again this year.

Hope Sears has some good deals on tools this black Friday. I've stayed away from black Friday in the past like the plague, but I'm interested this year. Is it true that you can get the same deals online too on black Friday?

Talking to my wife today, not a whole lot we could be tempted into buying, we just don't do the pile packages under the tree that we grew up with. We tend to buy stuff we want when we want it and celebrate the holidays for the original intent, not working and food.

Sears historically has had the same prices online that they have in the stores. However, they are subject to running out of inventory both instore and online so buy early.

Oh ok, good to know. Thanks. Yeah, I figured I'd stay up late and see if there's anything good worth buying really quick before it sells out. I just hate the whole crowded store scene

It is also worth checking when online retailers will start their deals. Some may start on Thanksgiving day.

Is pbtools having their 30% off promotion this year?
No idea. I'd ask, but the last few emails I sent them went unanswered.

After trying it out a couple more times, I still think it's neat. But for some reason I just cannot take it seriously, don't know why.

What's the quality like on the Dewalt hand tools? Wouldn't mind a set like that.
I'm quite pleased with Dewalt's hand tool quality, and like the T-handle driver just as much. The ratcheting mechanism is reasonably strong, and the handle is very comfortable to use. Bits seem durable thus far. My only complaint is that I wish the kit were a little bit more compact.

Dewalt's other hand tools are nice too. Some of them actually seem to be top-shelf quality, with most being at least mid-range heavy duty.

Any other places that sell tools usually have any online sales that anyone can recall?
