Happy Thanksgiving!

Hopefully you'll find this useful:

Over at ToolGuyd I put together a massive roundup of all the deals I thought were worth posting about:

http://toolguyd.com/black-friday-2015-tool-deals/

Here's a separate Home Depot deal post, including copies of their sales flyer tool pages:

http://toolguyd.com/home-depot-black-friday-2015/

I created a separate Tool Deals Cheat Sheet over at Make Magazine:

http://makezine.com/2015/11/25/black-friday-cheat-sheet-the-best-tool-deals-for-makers/

And for those of you looking to do some Arduino/Raspberry Pi/Electronics projects, here are some of those types of deals:

http://makezine.com/2015/11/25/black-friday-best-electronics-deals/

A reader shared Enco coupons with me - no need to wait for Cyber Monday to get 25% off and free shipping!

http://toolguyd.com/enco-coupons-112015/

What are you buying this year?

I already picked up 2 Stanley FatMax tape measures for $20, some Bosch reciprocating saw blades, Mitutoyo inside and depth micrometers, and might buy some new cordless tools.

Eh, the most I saw at HD was Christmas lights that the wife wants and wiper blades for me LOL

If I was in the market that 46" lower chest for $199 seems like a great deal.

I won't be going anywhere for anything this year.
Just remember a lot of the time especially electronics, they are made cheaper as a slightly different model to be able to be sold at such a low price

I don't go anywhere for anything either, but still manage to spend a whole lot.

I never really shopped BF deals. I used to stay up until 5am and do a whole lot of online shopping. Now, a lot of retailers' deals go live Thanksgiving day, night, or even Wednesday.

I'll visit Home Depot or Lowes to buy a pack of Rayovac AA and AAA batteries, like I do every year, but that'll probably be the extent of my in-store shopping.

That Dremel 4000 kit for $69 kinda has me interested but I'll never make it there since it's "while supplies last".

Anyone have opinions on the Home Depot 26 inch 16-drawer toolbox combo for $298 for normal homeowner use?

I guess they're reasonable for the money, but you might want to check out a demo unit in-store to see if they're sturdy enough for your needs.

You get a lot of drawers and cubic footage for the money, but sacrifices have to come from somewhere.

Who knows?
Thanks Stuey.

I've needed to order a 24" straight edge to check my Civic's head for warping. Thought about eBay, but didn't want to buy one used only to find it bent out of true.

Thought about the Chicago Brand 56429 at Summit for $66.10 including shipping.

Wound up checking out your Enco deal and ordered a Starrett 319-3624 (or 51440) for $72.96 including shipping.

That's a pretty good deal imo. I don't have to wory about whether it's been abused by a previous owner and I get a better quality tool than the Chicago Brand. I appreciate it man.

The 46" box is a bargain at 199.00. None in stock for online pickup in my area though, I'll give it a few days, the price is good until 12/2.

Nice! Thanks, and you're welcome!

It was a TG reader that sent in the Enco deal tip, and I've taken advantage of last night. Might order a Mitutoyo digital height gauge before the coupon expires.

Stuey,

Can you check you link to the Milwaukee 2-pack 16-foot magnetic tape measures? It resolves to this:

http://www.homedepot.com/s/205459166

And Home Depot's search isn't finding the 2-pack deal either.
Thanks! I saw that last night, hoped it was temporary.

Home Depot took the page down, either temporarily or for a couple of months. I left it up in case the deal comes back soon, which happens somewhat often.

I'll try to edit a note into the post later when I'm in front of a computer.

That wasn't really a BF deal, it was a regular deal or left over from Father's Day.

Let's not forget that PB Swiss is having 30% off sale through Monday.

I ended up opting to save 10% on a smaller PB Swiss item \from their Amazon store. Free shipping hopefully offsets things.

But yea... 30% off is a great deal. I wish they would do even 25% off a couple of times a year.
