Subscribed to read the horror stories. I live 15 miles from a store, and that's the closest I'll come on BF. When my son was a kid, we went to BF events just for the fun of it. At a BestBuy, we got their 4 hours before opening, and there were hundreds of people in line. Considering that they only stock 10 or so of the real good deals, we packed it in and went back home to sleep.

One place I may go has a great discount on tools for Black Friday. They haven't put their BF ad up on their website yet though. And it's supposed to be a two day affair, I think. I may try it but it will depend on how I feel that day. I hate crowded stores.

Only two or three items I'm looking for and I should be able to get them from Amazon without leaving home.

Remember you can get black Friday prices a day early which will be tomorrow Wednesday 11/27 if you are a inside track member at harbor freight.

Ace Hardware is having their 50% off any regular priced item up to $15 max. discount.

I can hit up about 3-4 Ace's in a 30 minute radius.

Decent deal for consumables and some tools but I can't think of anything I need.

When we first got married, we stayed all night with her parents to be closer to the mall and get there early. She showed me the 1/4" Craftsman sets they used to sell for $9.99. I was excited to grab several of each metric and SAE. I was standing outside Sears when they literally opened the security door, I was the first one to walk in and head straight to the tools. I asked the first clerk I saw where "these" are and they said, "We are sold out, already." Say what! I looked around and there were only one or two people in the tool section with me...….good times...not!

I thought about going shopping. But, other than 1/2" drive, deep metric sockets, I really don't "need" anything. I'm a ratchet junkie and there are many that I want. But I can sincerely give thanks this season. I've been blessed with a very nice shop, far more tools than I need or ever imagined I would have, a wonderful lady and having kicked throat cancers ***, I can sincerely give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving, fellow GJ'ers.
