I got a Craftsman 1/2" "clicker" torque wrench for $40. Regular $80. Seems decent and if it lasts a few years im happy.

If you are careful with that torque wrench, it will be good. The plastic lock ring is the first part of the handle that hits the floor when you lay it down. This is also the first part that always breaks on these torque wrenches...they will still work, but the lock won't be there.

Picked up some flex-head Gearwrench SAE and metric ratcheting wrench sets for $30 each at Sears Fri morning, much cheaper than the usual $50 range sale prices. I have the non-flex versions and can't believe how much I like using them.

i bought a 18 inch chain saw a couple of weeks ago at home depot, on sale from $159.00 for $129.00.. i was happy with that until i found out i could've got 10% off that price just for being a veteran.. sooooo, i took the receipt back in to get it adjusted for the 10% and found out it was now on sale for $99.00.. now i was really happy about that.. walked out with about a $45.00 refund

Went to HF and got the 36" metal brake regularlly $249 on sale for $215 and 20% off brought it to $175. I have been wanting one to fab some pannels for my truck so I'm pretty happy.

I got a cheap $60 Skil table saw and an $80 Hitachi Miter saw at Lowes plus three extra ten inch carbide tipped blades for $20. That plus my circular saw, saw all, and jig saw should handle the few wood related projects that come up from time to time.

Also picked up the Craftsman 5 pc. Metric (22-26MM) Easy to Read Socket Set for $15.00 and a pair of mechanics glovers for $10 at Sears.

Oh yeah and two cases of Mobil 1 at Pep Boys for $3.98 a quart. Have about 8 gallons on my shelves now, that should do me for the next year or so.

I bought the 213 piece Tool set Sears had advertized for $99 and clicked on the local pickup, I got an Email 2 hours later saying my order was ready! When I arrived at Sears the tool guy told me they didnt stock the 213 set and wanted to know if i would take the 260? AHHHHHHH That would be a yes! $99 for a $299 Tool Set!

I really didn't need them but needed a few missing sockets and wrench's and thought this would be a nice way to replace them!

have you used the table saw yet? i thought about buying that one or the ones craftsman offered on black friday but never made it out. my concern with the cheap ones is the fence and the fact that i'll be cutting down 4x8 sheets. i've read they're fairly unsteady on the lower priced ones.

I wouldn't attempt to cut a 4X8 sheet without adding some ballast to the stand (like a 50 lb bag of salt). It just about tipped over ripping a 2X4.

The fence appears to hold okay but the table is not that big. I’m pretty sure the max fence distance is less than 2 feet. I need to halve a few 4X8 sheets to get them in my attic (won’t fit through the current opening), so I’ll rig some sort of jig up this weekend.

I don’t think any of the sub $100 models are going to make easy work of 4X8 sheets, but think they can be managed with a little ingenuity and a second pair of hands.

I just have Home Depot or Lowes rip down 4x8 sheets into 2x8s and then can work from there.

These are good enough for small jobs, but I'd probably let HD make the first cut for me next time.

I was just learning/practicing how to use these while adding flooring to my attic.
