Hmm, What is it. I may talk myself into it. The handle goes up and down freely and the piston was all the way in so no rust on it. It doesn't jack up of course and the rotating handle is stuck..... might clean it up and see what moves....

I have refreshed a few vintage jacks. Finding the parts is a challenge. I want reliability. If a jack does not work like a new jack, safety is compromised.
I am including a picture of a HEIN WARNER 1 1/2 ton floor jack. This jack has had a complete rebuild with all new parts. The parts were expensive. This Hein Warner 1.5T will barely lift the rear of my 1940 Ford. Forget about lifting the front of the Ford.
This jack has a slow leak that allows it to slowly lower itself. I have banished the Hein Warner to a corner of the shop, behind my air compressor. I can not give it away because I am concerned about the next persons safety.

I believe it’s a Blackhawk S7, My concern would be the Internal condition. I can’t help but think the entire valve system, Rod finish will be shot. The Jack will use Vee packing for seals, so the Rod finish needs to be A+. If you got the $$$ and resources anything is possible. I’ve been there and done that and at the end of the day I send those jobs on down the road. If you scour Facebook or CL you can find better examples to start with for not much money. Good luck and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. A word of advice… Without a donor jack everything to you destroy tearing it apart will need to be manufactured, Blackhawk also used specialty tools to secure compression nuts on the Main ram/pump pistons. It’s possible to work around them, but if they are froze take your time with PB blaster/heat before grabbing the Hammer and punch.

Good luck

I know if I found that it'd get a good attempt at least, it's just too cool to let go without a fight.

Totally dependent on if you want to look at it, or use it.
Maybe too far gone to use, but anything is possible with the right amount of money and time. But a cosmetic "restoration" is easier and probably doable.
