Hey guys, I recently bought a beautiful old 'street light' fixture for the front of my garage.

In these pics you can see the post mount with the curve in it. I need to figure out a way to mount to my exterior wall (old school thick aluminum siding).

I assume there is a proper flange for these but I couldn't find anything on the interwebs.

I believe the pipe in 1 1/4" exterior diameter.

Any thoughts, or leads on where to find the appropriate mounting flange?

Some lag bolts and washers will do it, I doubt your going to find the bracket unless you have a model number of the light

Street light, garage mounting solution.

You didn't show us a photo of the light fixture but I assume it's pretty heavy if it's an old street light.

I wouldn't think of trying to mount that much overhung weight to the siding of any kind. Think of wind and ice storms, may just pull your siding off the structure.

I would look at eliminating the pole mount base completely. Pass the pipe through a hole in the siding, then make a structural mount for the pipe inside the garage with framing and a few U bolts for some serious holding power, so it and the siding stays put for good.

For the record, 3/4" pipe is 1 1/8 OD, 1" pipe is 1 3/8" OD, 1 1/4" is 1 3/4"

You could replace the pipe with a longer one if necessary to reach your structural support if required.
