Black trim

OK people show what you got. I am leaning towards black trim in the garage with a two tone scheme. I am liking the orange that I see on the walls. but don't want it to look like the "Great Pumpkin" from Charlie Brown. There is not too much that goes with black other than red or orange (or so I think as I am not a designer) but I want something different so when people drive by or stop by it catches the eye. So if you have some off the wall schemes, post them up. I did aquire an overhead projector, so I can put that to use also. As soon as the arm gets a little better, I plan on killing some winter time in the garage dressing it up. Momma said she'd help me out so that is a huge plus

I think many colors go well with orange. I always think of harley colors. Black orange and metal flake or (regular) Silver, and possibly white. Otherwise you can go with many types of blue for asomething a little more out there. Monochromatic orange (different shades of orange) would be a cool idea too. lol I found a pic that can maybe give you an idea or two. G

I used some flat black paint to dress up the block wall. Probably not to the extent you are talking about, but it provides some nice contrast, I think, to my white walls and tan-ish floor.

Orange with a medium to dark grey might be cool.

Black goes with all kindsa colors... Grey yellow, blue, orange... My garage is painted grey, with black and grey checkered flooring, I also have a black workbench.... I really need to take some new pics....

Am I remembering right that you have a dark red floor (Rust Oleum Tile Red?) in your garage?

If so, I'd think about tan walls to hide dirt and keep it fairly bright. Maybe add a stripe that matches your floor as an accent.

several shades grey
yellow
red
several shades of blue
orange (yuck)
green (yuck)

I do in the house garage and one bay in my garage (floor). The house garage is going to go back to gray this Spring. I had tan walls in my garage on the working side, but had to paint them white when I painted my truck. The tan sucked up too much color. But I think my painting days are over except for maybe spot repair, and I did change out all my lights to fluorescent from incadescent so it is brighter, so I am thinking of changing out the wall color again. The house garage will be nothing except the parking of two cars. I think that with a gray floor, I may do a bottom color, break it up with a stripe, and light on the upper half, with a white ceiling. My garage I am leaning towards a bolder color and I was wondering about painting the trim a satin black. By the trim, I mean the door casings and window casings. My dentist office has his rooms painted that way and it actually looks pretty sharp. But what looks sharp in one place can look like **** in another. And with the way my luck runs, I'd paint it satin black and everyone would be like Like I said, it's going to be more of a hang out type of garage, but work will still be done in there.

i have satin black trim in my house, barn red walls and tannish orange, the wife was against it, but i did it anyway its only paint? she gets more compliments on our house now like she did it herself lol

I think black trim looks pretty good. Here are some photos of my one car garage I had when I had my house. This is how it looked after I renovated it before selling.
