I have a few of the 7/16" drive Blackhawk sockets which may be a cheaper version or something. The numbers on them are 35xxx instead of 4xxxx and the 4xxx ones I have seen photos of seem much shinier than mine. Are these some sort of industrial variety or bargain basement variety? Just curious; I don't have any 7/16" drive ratchets or breaker bars or anything so these are just a curiosity to me.

Blackhawk in its current form as a Stanley brand is supposed to be mid price value industrial brand for those who don't want to spend the money on Proto. Some photos would be helpful. There is a possibility that it differentiates the type of finish or vintage.

Blackhawk made 7/16 drive for a while I think in the 50's-60's time frame. The idea was one drive to replace 3/8 and 1/2 with one drive size not sold as a bargain line. I have a 7/16 drive ratchet it has a handle that can will extend where more leverage is required. There were at least three different ratchets one of which was a gearless design.

It is desirable and there are people who collect it. Not ultra rare but not very common either - but have no idea on value.

Blackhawk of that era was quality stuff.
