All of my Proto impact sockets are stamped "Made in USA", I believe the Blackhawk sockets are not and the Proto website, nor Zoro seem to list a COO.

I recently bought a Blackhawk ratchet which was made in Taiwan.

Reading GJ, besides costing me money, you also learn from those you work their impact tools a lot harder then I ever did in maintenance. A long thread on impact sockets suggested that impact sockets because they are heat treated softer and tougher than chrome are a wear item, making ease of warranty replacement a very important factor. This meant truck brand versus better Taiwanese being a wash as far quality went.

Blackhawk tools vary for COO. Chrome sets can be USA or Taiwan. The new bullet handle style is made in Taiwan but their USA socket sets set come with the round head ratchet. Website does not show USA flag for impacts, so Id assume Taiwan.

These days, Blackhawk tools are most likely to be made in China or Taiwan. The time when Craftsman, Husky, and Blackhawk were all Made in USA are long over.

Not quite. Blackhawk brand does not show COO. Only Proto does.

Incorrect. Blackhawk shows COO. No country of origin (flag) means import. American flag means "made in USA"

Incorrect. That’s a shady practice. If they are going to show COO, always show cOO -not just USA.

Shady or not, they show if Blackhawk is US-made on their website

Or, you can ask them where a product is made.....and while you're doing that, you can complain to them (Stanley-Proto) about their "shady practice" with COO.

Its not a shame to show where your product is made if its still a good tool and has value just don't price it like its USA made. However, I couldn't tell you what the Taiwan flag looks like unless Im watching olympics [emoji1239]

Blackhawk at some point might be completely imported one day but am glad they have a line that is at least somewhat affordable compared to their flagship brands. You may have to dig a little but its worth it if you want USA made tools.

I've used the proto site and other sites that have new blackhawk tools for sale quite a few times when looking at local sales trying to scout the specs, value, and COO and have found some are USA made and those that are not never say unless on other sites. I own a set of taiwanese made blackhawk ratcheting wrenches. I bought used but I didn't pay but $10 for all of them in good shape and gearwrench had already outsourced to China and was selling for a similar cost to the taiwan made sets. Was hoping for USA made but I knew before I picked them up that they were not but were of good quality for the money.
