I was given a floor jack recently. I can see that it is a Blackhawk, looks repainted, is missing the cover that goes over the jack. How do I identify the model? Seems old. It won't lower without weight on the pad and only raises maybe a foot. There is a very faint 4 digit number stamped on the lifting arm. "3568" I think. Very faint. Not sure that is what that part is called. Near that number is another number, 5 digits. "22196" maybe. Cast into the base of the jack, facing up, is "8-64". Possibly a production date? I know nothing about floor jacks and didn't own one until this one was given to me. I can afford to put some $ and time into it if it is worthwhile. Seems sturdy enough. It has a slight leak on the jack base. If I can identify it maybe I can get a overhaul kit and rebuild it. Thanks in advance. CJDave.

Does it have a light? Post some pics.

A headlight is genius. Is that an offer to take it apart for me? If so, that is not the problem. I can disassemble most anything. Going back together seems to be the snag. Thanks 930 dreamer. CJDave.
