Looking for the value of one of these. I am helping with an estate sale, and I just pulled one out of the garage. I was asked if I wanted it, but have no idea of the value.

Welcome to GJ . . . you've got the right "itch" that you want . . . . .
. . . . AND . . . . . "Need" to buy a Blackhawk floor jack !!! :D

Value will depend on condition and whether it works as intended, along with all the parts being there.

Let's SEE that puppy !! ;)

The answer is always, "yes" when asked if you want a BlackHawk floor jack.

When I pulled this hulk, I paid $125 for it BEFORE restoration. The bones were good and as you can see, BlackHawk makes industrial art. Every home should have one.

This is an S4 model, rated at 8,000 pounds lifting capacity.

As others have pointed out, without pictures no one will be able to give you an accurate value.

I'm still trying to figure out how to post pictures. Guess I'm not as pc suave as I thought.

Also interested in this box. Need help identifying it's value. I'm still working on getting a picture of the S-4.

I have the same Snap-On box. Some refer to it as a tradesman but it's a KR-56. There is one in better shape locally for 70 bucks and it has been sitting on Craigslist for months.

NOTE:
Prices vary by region.

Horse,
I looked up KR-56, but they didn't look like the one in my picture. The front drawer cover is removable, not attached to the top lid.

Does anyone know what thread or person I should ask on here to find out? I've been searching GJ for weeks to find an exact match.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

My eyes deceived me. I thought it had the full fold up cover. No matter, it's the earlier version of my box. Search google for late 1940s snap on 6 drawer and you'll see that they are worth the same amount of money.

This jack appears to have the seldom seen aluminum side plates. Not sure if that adds any extra value though. In the current condition, my non-expert value estimate is $50 to $100.

CRTDI,
What were you referring to about the aluminum side plates? I now have this jack and another one from this estate. It's a Hein-Werner GH 4 ton. Which one is worth restoring?

The S4 jack that you have is the deluxe model. You can tell because it has the headlight sitting right above the hydraulic pump. I've only seen cast iron frames (side plates) on these jacks. Are you sure it's aluminum?

I'm not sure if they are. I was commenting on one of the replies. They look aluminum, or polished chrome. I'm going to start cleaning it up soon. Figured I would start with the power washing, then disassemble and clean. I was hoping to get it this weekend, but schedules disagree.
