I’m trying to rebuild a Blackhawk SJ4 but I can’t get the cylinder out or the valve plugs - those baby’s are stuck.

You can see in the pic the valve plugs were damaged so I don’t want to damage them further. What do you take them out with... impact driver ?

I put a pipe wrench on the cylinder - won’t even budge. I don’t want to damage it either.
Do I just need a big cheater and some more umph or am I missing an important step.

Anyone whose done one — please advise

Those plugs with the large straight slot are in tight! You need a hand impact driver. 3/8 drive with the bits is the normal for moving them. the tube will have several hundred foot pounds of torque on it,,, takes about 5 feet od cheater pipe to break it loose. will need that kind of torque to reseal it.

Thanks cubfarm1 !!
The 5’ cheater did the trick.
I ordered a manual impact from Tekton and a 1/2 wide slotted tip.
I’ll try to get the plugs out next weekend.
