Blackhawk Jack

Hello all I am new here, found this site while looking for information on an old Auto Specialties Jack that I found on Craigslist. I did find the information I was looking for by the way. Thank You for all who take the time to share your knowledge. I just purchased a older Blackhawk SJ4 jack and would like to know if anyone has any idea as to the age of this jack. The complete model number is SJ4.05A-5 Code LMD. This jack is complete and appears to operates as it should. It has been neglected and is in need of some maintenance/work before I put it to use.

Any information would be appreciated

Quite a few members have S4 Blackhawk jacks, myself included. They date from the early 40s but pictures would be helpful. Can you post a few?

thank you for the response. I can not get a picture of the actual jack now but I will up load one tonight. Here is one of the same model.

That one is newer than the 1940s models that you typically see around here. For example, here is mine, which dates back to just before the 2nd world war.

I really like the older jacks they have so much more character to them. That is a great looking jack thehorse13.
Maybe someone may know how old this. It is going to take quite a bit of cleaning, and it is painted yellow. So I will also strip it down and repaint it red as it should be.
