I have a old rolling Blackhawk Master Machanic Wrench Chest that's 30 X 16 and stands 34 inches tall and 3 drawers and a storage space underneath. It has the old Indian Chief Brass plate that says "BLACKHAWK" "Master Mechanic" Wrench Chest" I've been told that's it's from the late 1930's or maybe early 1940's and it being a bottom chest that it's VERY rare!!

The Magazine Photo of is from a 1937 motor magazine ad

I would love to see this go to a good home

I live in Albany Oregon.. About 1 1/2 hrs south of Portland

Asking $250

I have the same thing...Although mine is in quite a bit better condition. I had Googled the Blackhawk wrench chest to see what it might be worth. Your description and photos were very helpful, thanks for posting. I think we are a rare few to have such a tool chest. Reminds me of the good ole days of mechanics and auto racing. I love mine but would be willing to let it go to someone who could fill it with some tools. I live in Phoenix, Az. 602 938-2431. The story behind the wrench chest is that it belonged to a mechanic that worked for Chaz Ulrich (an old timer that raced boats, cars and as the story goes even a horse or two).
