I'd be beating a trail to that beauty in a nano second. It would look great in my 30's garage for sure.

Thanks for posting it and getting me all excited.

Wow. I have the matching chest and would love to have that roller. Anyone close by willing to facilitate?

He is too far from my IL guy.

I contacted the seller and he's only interested in selling local. He would not deal with my Uship courier, which is essentially the same as a local transaction. I guess one of you IL guys will have to grab this box. Looks like I'm out of the game.

I'm not surprised. He was very short with me.

I sent a text to a CL seller late Sunday asking, “I’d like to stop by around lunch time tomorrow and look at the tool chest you’ve got listed on CL, if you’re available?”

His response: “I’m busy. Thanks.” No wonder it’s been reposted over and over for months.

Well fellas, unless one of you has gotten your hands on this box, it has been sold. The seller sent me an IM telling me that it's gone.

I have to admit, this is a new one for me. He wouldn't sell it to me but then took the time to tell me it has been sold? :dunno:

A question for you online shoppers...

How do OfferUp and LetGo differ from CL? Is it like Lyft and Uber? Clicking on ryan's link was the first time I ever even heard of OfferUp, and I only heard of LetGo a few months ago. Are there others out there? (And give me the synopsis, because my question is one of idle curiosity, not decision-making.)

Yes they are like Lyft and Uber. They are stand-alone apps for smart phones, presumably tablets and pcs as well. As everyone in this thread found out, the sellers and buyers are just as flaky as craigslist sellers and buyers.

A lot of the time i will see the same items on CL, offerup and letgo...but not always.

This is 100% spot on.

You can use your PC/Mac/Tablet and/or smart phone to browse these online selling sites. The only real difference between Craigslist and the new players is that Craigslist still looks like a 1990s website.

Well I was hoping someone here would have got this but I just hope whoever got it will preserve it and not destroy the history of it.
