JMHO. That era of Blackhawk box is just one step above Stack On. They sold out their name. That one is fairly priced.

I would respectfully disagree. These are made by Waterloo and are pretty well made. I had a similar era Waterloo roller and it was stout. Way stouter than the newer Waterloo stuff

I agree with your comments. It's not a badly built box (I had one at one time) and given the era in which is was made (70-80's) it is better than ones built today. Thank you for correcting my vague posting.

My original comments were comparing the older Blackhawk boxes (40-60's) which I have hung onto my lower roller because it's built like a tank. These are sought after, usually begin at $3-500.00 and are much better then the Waterloo box posted. But I did not say that and that's my fault.

I do stand by my original comment that the box posted is fairly priced but not a great buy.

A few other guys that collect Blackhawk stuff refer to this era as "BINO". Blackhawk in name only. Most purists stick with the end of Blackhawk in 1955 when New Britain bought them out. It's like the Indian motorcycles crowd. They share a similar philosophy.

Removing the name, $130 for a roller of that era is sorta okay pricing. He'd be hard pressed to get 75 bucks for it around here.

It's got a cool sticker. That's about all. Just my opinion, probably the least desirable blackhawk box out there.
