Probably not a true "hot deal" but a) I owe a guy a 1/2" ratchet and b) I've been lamenting the demise of the old school ratchet with the little knurled "speed ring" for a while, and while looking for something else came across these. So I ordered both and will give my Kobalt one to the guy whose cheap ratchet I busted when they arrive. Let's see if the old school stuff is as good as I remember. Unfortunately these ratchets no longer appear in the Blackhawk catalog...
As an aside, it's a little late for me as I've already pulled the trigger, but does anyone know if these are quick release or just have a spring loaded ball on the drive? I do like QRs for the positive retention and ease of socket removal but it's not an absolute must for me.
