Classic '40s - early '50s 4-ton Blackhawk S4 floor jack. Headlight model with working light. It needs the lens but I have threaded a PVC protector over the light until the proper lens can be found. Or trim the PVC back, glue a clear dome on it, screw it in and call it done. I have seen the key available on ebay but as I recall, they're not cheap.
New seals and check balls throughout, but it's still a little finnicky and sometimes it fast-lifts and then bypasses for several strokes before lifting the load. It still bleeds off just a little - holding up one corner of an 8-1/2 ton halftrack, it loses about 1/2" in ten minutes. Someone with more talent than I have can mess with it, or it may improve with use.
It's a beast of a jack for every day use and very collectable for a retro garage. It really deserves to be cosmetically restored and the original paint is there for color matching, although I think the black handle was originally white.
