Very nice set. Love the ratchet, I have the New Britain and Mac versions. (Of the ratchet, not the set)

What's the story behind the set anyway? Recently aquired?

Yeah, what's the story? Are you big into that brand, as I am?

I have a set from around that era. That set is from after Blackhawk was bought by Stanley in the 80'. Instead of the being from New Britain Conn., they were from Covington, Georgia. I believe that style of ratchet was phased out around 1996, at least it looks that way from a catalog that I have. Me I prefer my old 24991 ratchet, which seems to be from around 1943.
