So I just picked up an SJ-2 and am eager to do a rebuild. In doing my research for seal kits I'm looking at all kinds of jacks (including ones here) and am getting way over excited....haha.. Anyway, what I noticed was that some jacks have front and rear rollpans. Some have only the rear. Old Blackhawk ads show the jacks came with both front and rear. I found a pic of a Sears badged model that has both so you guys know what I'm talking about. Forgive me if these are pics of someone's jack on GJ. I tend to forget where I pilfer all my info. It's the jack on the left in both pics. You can see a formed sheet metal cover over the front axle and over the hydraulic unit in the rear. I want my jack to be complete as possible, but it's hard to date the jack and I don't know if it came with a front roll pan originally. So my question is do I add the the front roll pan (I have the rear one) or not?

Here's what I have so far after doing some cleaning. The lift arm is up in the pic but falls eventually, so definitely needs a seal or two. I'm also looking to find or fabricate the cover that goes over the hyd unit (between the handle yoke and lift arm).

BTW the Berryman B-33 engine degreaser works pretty well for a mild non-solvent type cleaner.
