Anyone know anything about these? My dad gave me a box of tools and there were a bunch of loose sockets and a breaker in there that didn't fit anything. Turns out they are Blackhawk 7/16" drive.

I put them on the shelf, just because I don't know what else to do with them.

No pics brother. But if you have a complete set and it's not destroyed it's a nice conversation piece. I can guarantee you someone here collects that stuff so if you're looking to get it gone it won't be an issue.

Blackhawk called them Nuggets (and their 1/4-inch drive Nuggies). Half marketing ploy, half good idea (to split the diff between 3/8- and 1/2-inch drive and replace both of those sets with only one set). Launched in 1937 or so and then hit a snag in the 40's when the WPB deemed them redundant (to 3/8" and 1/2" drives!) and a waste of steel. Not sure how long they made them after the war.

Definitely still being sold in 1947. I believe they continued into the early 50's.

Feel free to send them to me. Interested in a trade?

I need a little help. This is what I have, but I have no idea what they are worth. I'm not looking to screw anyone, but don't want to give them away.

Deep: 1 1/8, 1, 15/16, 7/8, 3/4, 11/16, 5/8, 9/16

shallow: 1 1/16 (2 of them), 1 ( bad condition), 7/8, 13/16 (2), 11/16 (3), 5/8, 19/32, 3/8, 5/16

8pt: 3/4, 5/8, 9/16, 1/2, 7/16, 3/8

Misc: 7/16 universal, 7/16 - 3/8 adapter, straight bit, 3/8 drive 7/8" socket, 7/16 drive extension, 7/16" drive gripped extension.

Thanks Don!

I can assure him that he would get an awesome deal. I'll give him 2x their reasonable value in other tools - gotta make some room!
