Blackhawk Tools....

Just purchased a couple of different sets of black hawk tools after I recently took out a 2 year old ratcheting combo wrench set I got for free.(promotional from old job)

Here is what I got to finish some missing links in my box at work, cost me 130$ in total for everything.

Sockets:
1/2" Chrome deep sockets 10mm-19mm 12pt
1/2" Chrome shallow sockets 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, 32

Wrenches:
Full polish combination wrench set 7MM, 9MM, 10MM, 11MM, 12MM, 13MM, 14MM, 15MM, 16MM, 17MM, 18MM, 19MM, 20MM

Now I reviewed a few posts before and a lot of guys say that the Blackhawk line is not made in usa. Mostly Taiwan ect... I would like to let you know everyone of the above sets are stamped USA.

I know you can purchase Blackhawk from grainger. That is where we got our original promo sets from. Will they warranty my tools?

Grainger is a distributor so they should, they warranty Proto stuff with out any issues. My Blackhawk sockets all are stamped USA, and seem very similar to my Proto stuff.

according to my grainger rep, all blackhawk stuff is warranted through them

Some of their new stuff is imported. Much of it remains USA made.

Cool, thanks guys. I was getting nervous about warranty issues but I have a Grainger less then 10 min from home.

Do you have an account with that Grainger? There have been posts here about Grainger not warrantying tools that were not purchased from them or by people without accounts.
All tools wear out eventually. I would rather have a decently made tool that won't fail though normal use for a few years of hard work than a lesser tool with a great warranty but, that's just me. I don't break that many tools like many here say they do.

My Blackhawk ratcheting wrenches are from Taiwan. I have no complaints about how they work.

I just received a replacement ratchet from them (I sent it to the Stanley Proto Industrial tools address in Georgia). They sent me a ratchet that was made in Tiawan - so I threw it in the scrap pile. I'm not sure if all of the ratchets are made in Tiawan now or not - but the one I received was.

I don't have any Blackhawk ratchets, just Proto, but I've heard the BH ratchets are now made in Tiawan. The sockets have worked flawlessly in everyday use in the valve industry. They are also at a nice price point w/ Grainger, but then I get a nice discount via Ohio Farm Bureau, can't complain.

My full polish sets from Blackhawk are US made. Very happy with them.

I have a grainger account with both of my company's. Only problem is I didn't buy the tools from them. I would hate to have to send my tools in wait weeks for a replacement and pay shipping on top. not fun.

I don't use blackhawk ratchets, only snap on for ratchets.

IMHO the only black hawk stuff of good value are the full polish made in USA wrenches and the sockets.

I even have some older proto sockets, breaker bars, and ratchets. They are built well and tanks. They are just bare bones, and the sockets tend not to grip as well as other comparable brands.
