I am reporting a recent experience with Husky warranty service. I have a Blackhawk 1/2 inch drive, 15/16 deep, 12 point socket, knurled on the drive end,#H3641-,which had 3 splits on the open end. I called the number for Husky warranty service and was promised a replacement in about a week. 10 days later, no replacement had arrived. I called again, Joan told me look for a replacement in a week. 10 days later I got an envelope containing a HUSKY, hecho en China, chrome replacement. It is 1/4 inch shorter with grooves 1/8 inch shallower. Color me disappointed.

Bill Hi,

I am a little bit confused, well maybe a lot confused so let me ask you are we talking about Vintage Blackhawk made before 1968, because after all this is the vintage tool section that you posted in ?

An example of vintage Blackhawk tools:
http://alloy-artifacts.org/blackhawk-innovation.html#history

Or are we talking modern Blackhawk made after 1968, which of course would be better posted in the general tool section of the GJ.

Or do you have vintage husky tools ?

Or are you talking about modern Husky tools coming from overseas?

Pictures will help us out...

I have a Blackhawk 1/2" ratchet - pressed steel construction. I have owned it for twenty years and it was probably 30 years old when I bought it. Warranty - never gonna need one. I own ratchets by Snap On, Facom, MAC, Bonney, Easco, Craftsman, Britool, Stahlwille, Gedore, SK, Proto, but none are as sturdy.
