I have a Blackhawk (mdl AW-1351) chain style wrench (pipe wrench) the chain broke off the handle. Does anyone know how to go about warranting this tool ? I found a supposed site online I sent photos and emails twice, its been a couple of weeks and I still haven’t received a reply !! Possibly no one is warranting this or warranty doesn’t apply to this tool ? At this point I’ve found used on Ebay for around $20. maybe I should just buy one of those ? Thank you !

Contact Proto, but you will need to mail it in to the QA department for review and if they decide to warranty it. Be prepared for a 6-12 week wait.

Thank you, almost sounds easier to replace it with one off of Ebay ?? But that’s not why we buy tools with warranties !!

I think I sent two. Maybe three things to Proto and turnaround was pretty quick when I did it but it wasn't Blackhawk. It was just Proto one ratchet and a ratcheting wrench. They were not near each other timewise

No different than my experience getting a SnapOn ratchet replaced. Called the number, they opened a file number, then had me send the old ratchet with flaking chrome to Kenosha.

Got a nice roto ratchet via UPS about a month or six weeks later (maybe less).

Update , using the information obtained from the people who replied to this post I’ve contacted Proto/ Blackhawk. And have received a response, with warranty return info. I’d like to thank everyone who replied here, for their help . *Also I said in my original post that I had sent two emails with photos to Blackhawk prior to posting here. To be perfectly honest after I received information here, I realized I was sending emails & photos to a software company called Blackhawk and not to the tool company !! Boy do I feel like a fool.🤷‍♂️
