The protective lens, that goes on the inside in front of the glass, anyone use theirs with out this?

How long did the glass last without the protection:lol_hitti?

The protective sheet on mine do not last but a few days, with or without use.
I can barely see my work.

I make my own protective sheets from viny purchased at a craft store. It was sold in the fabric section as table cloth cover on a roll. I find my covers last for days. However, I have to stop about hourly and wipe the cover off with a paper towel dampened with windex. The paint/etc that I am blasting off really sticks to the cover as a fine dust that really obscures my vision.

Clemco industries makes the ones I buy. They seem to last the longest.

Make sure when you are blasting that you keep the gun and part as far from the glass as you can and still see what you are doing.

Another thing, make sure your tip is good. As they wear out the media seems to go everywhere and more apt to get up to the glass.

I built my blast cabinet and didnt use glass but used lexan......about 14 years ago
to protect it I used a household window screen spaced about an inch away from the window to deflect the grit.
worked great for years but it is finally starting to get a little frosty so I am thinking about changing to a new piece of lexan
