looks like it would work, but way overly complicated, IMHO.

5 gallon pail with o-ring lid, one hose in water, one house out of water, done. I do this for sheetrock dust.

I just started using the HF pneumatic dust collector, thing works awesome and is sooooooooo quiet for 50 something bucks. It goes on the HF "good" list.

Disclaimer: Im running an Eaton 7.5 HP 3 cylinder so air consumption is not a problem.

That's what I'm using now. This one has a way higher coolness factor.
