Was in Pep Boys today and saw these on the rack. Packaging said 2005 on the backside. This is a very busy location in the middle of town and I was surprised to see them still hanging out.

I did buy one pack with the 7" and 10". There was one of those left and 3 pair of the parrot bill ones still on the shelf. Didn't particularly need them but figured they'd hung out with all the Gearhead house brand stuff long enough! Lol.

Local True Value has had the same thing more or less. Got some 1997 Vise Grips 7R-3 for $6 last year. Plenty of 1997/1998 Irwin/Master Mechanic stuff there from the same time-frame.

Always found it odd it hadn't been cleaned out by that point.

Local lumber yard has tried retail hardware a few times in the last 40 years. The last thing I found was some single craftsman crow foot wrenches, price tags from 94, they didn't know what they were or how to price so I got 3/8-1 inch for $2 each.

They still have some Wright combo wrenches, but I already have 2 ratcheting sets and 2 standard sets, Stanley and cman, hard to justify even at under $15 for the 1 inch.
