Blast media for stainless?

[T56 Impala]

Need to clean up some stainless steel grates. Not too worried about how they are going to look, but I don't want them to be too rough. They are made from round stock about 1/8" i think. I'll be cleaning off residual hard water deposits and rust. (I think its rust!) What is the most friendly for stainless?

Heck, if it turns out really nice, i might just clean my grill grates too!

I'd try glass bead, if it's ok for aluminum it should work on stainless.
