Blaster Surface Shield

The thread about the smell of Fluid Film got me thinking, and I didn't want to interrupt the "flow" of the thread.

I recall seeing this YT guy do long term tests, but don't remember who, etc., but he highly favored Blaster's Surface Shield over others including Fluid Film. I THINK the YT video looked at results over a 2 year period (or something like that). He also stated it was not a sponsored review by any company, he paid for all products himself, and just wanted to know which is better.

Does anyone have any real life/long term experience with it?

Thanks - that's not the same vid I saw (it was older), but it's the same guy with that more recent update.

You are correct, it's a recent update. Two or three years ago I saw his earlier videos comparing different protective coatings. By that time I had already used CRC Marine stuff and it still seems to have been a good choice consistent with his findings at that time. Probably apply some more when warmer weather comes around.

His name is Andrew and he is a great guy. His testing is second to none. Surface shield is awesome. I spray all my vehicles with it. Everybody ******* about the smell of lanolin products. If you really hate it that much, here’s a trick: add a small amount of an essential oil such as pure spearmint. Problem solved. Surface shield is the reason I still drive a 24 year old Toyota as my daily driver and not have to worry about rust.
